Just a very quick post to highlight a feature article about Calibur3 in Futur Magazine. We have just received some hard copies at the office. The magazine is published by Fraunhofer Institute for Production Systems and Design Technology IPK and the latest issue features an article about the benefits of #NeuBeam and #Calibur3 from the organisation’s first-hand experience.
You might remember that Fraunhofer IPK purchased a Calibur3 system, which was installed at the Berlin Technology Centre (PTZ). Since then, the team has been working with it to develop new industrial applications that have not been previously possible with other metal AM processes (eBeam or laser).
Eliminating considerable post processing steps, such as sinter cake removal and heat treatments for stress relief, are key to unlocking these applications.
